Outdoor Shades
Worry-Free Warranty
Our products carry a limited lifetime manufacturer warranty — real peace of mind for a coastal Virginia Beach home, where humidity and salt air put real demands on any window treatment.
Industry-Leading Brands
We partner with leading window treatment brands, so you get the products and features you want without being locked into just one look or a single-brand markup.
We Measure and Install
Every project is measured and installed by John, Jada, and our trained local team — the same installers our Virginia Beach clients name by name in their reviews.
Outdoor Sun Shades
Make the most of your outdoor living areas with our Exterior Shades — built specifically for what a Virginia Beach patio, deck, or screened porch actually deals with. Between the salt air rolling in off the oceanfront and summer humidity that regularly climbs past 70%, standard outdoor shading doesn’t hold up here the way it might inland. Ours does.
Virginia Beach also averages over 200 sunny days a year, which means UV protection isn’t a nice-to-have — it’s the whole point. Our Exterior Shades block glare and heat before it ever reaches your patio furniture, flooring, or the inside of your home, so you can actually use your outdoor space through the hottest part of the summer instead of avoiding it.
Perfect for patios, decks, screened porches, and balconies across Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Chesapeake, and Suffolk, our Exterior Shades come in a variety of colors and materials rated for coastal conditions. With motorized options available, schedule a free in-home consultation and Julie will walk you through the right fabric and finish for your exposure.

Frequently Asked Questions — Exterior Patio Shades in Virginia Beach
Q: Can exterior shades handle salt air and humidity near the Virginia Beach oceanfront?
A: Yes. We carry fabrics and hardware specifically rated for coastal environments, since standard materials corrode and break down faster in salt air and high humidity than they would further inland.
Q: Do exterior shades actually block summer heat, or just glare?
A: Both. Our Exterior Shades reduce heat gain significantly, not just visible glare, which makes a real difference in Virginia Beach’s long, sunny summers and helps protect furniture, flooring, and finishes from UV fading.
Q: Are motorized exterior shades worth it for a screened porch or patio?
A: Many homeowners think so. Motorized options let you raise and lower shades with a remote, a wall switch, or your phone, and several integrate with Alexa, Google Home, and Apple HomeKit — handy for wide openings or shades mounted higher than arm’s reach.
Q: Do you install exterior shades in Norfolk, Chesapeake, and Suffolk too?
A: Yes — we serve the full Hampton Roads area. Julie brings samples directly to your home for a free in-home consultation, no matter which of those areas you’re in.
